Amrit Udyan To Open For Public Viewing From February 3, 2026: Here Are All The Deets

If you live in Delhi or are planning to visit soon, we have an exciting addition to your travel plans! And no, we’re not referring to popular spots like Sarojini Nagar or monuments such as the Red Fort. Instead, we recommend exploring Rashtrapati Bhavan, specifically the Amrit Udyan. Amrit Udyan will welcome visitors from February 3 to March 31, 2026. Spanning an impressive 15 acres, Amrit Udyan is often described as the very essence of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Starting February 3, one can visit the Amrit Udyan six days a week, from 10 AM to 6 PM (with the last entry at 5 PM). You must also note that it will be closed on Mondays for maintenance and on March 4 due to Holi celebrations. There are special visiting days set aside for certain groups:

  • March 3 – Defence Personnel
  • March 5 – Senior Citizens
  • March 10 – Women and Tribal Women’s Self-Help Groups
  • March 13 – Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan)

Entry To Amrit Udyan Is Free Of Cost. Prior Slot Booking Is Mandatory

Now, when it comes to admissions, Admission to the gardens is free, but it is essential to secure tickets online via the official website of Rashtrapati Bhavan. In fact, in 2026, on-the-spot ticketing will not be offered, so booking is recommended. Be sure to book your visit well ahead of time, as tickets for a specific day will be closed by 10 AM the day before.

You will enter and exit through Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, conveniently located where North Avenue meets Rashtrapati Bhavan. To ease transportation, a shuttle bus will operate every 30 minutes from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35 between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM, with the last bus leaving at 4:00 PM.

In terms of the route, the garden route for visitors includes Bal Vatika, Pulmeria Garden, Banyan Garden, Bonsai Garden, Babbling Brook, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden. Along with vibrant tulips and various rose species, this year features the Babbling Brook, a charming water stream, and the Banyan Garden, equipped with reflexology paths.

Visitors are allowed to bring mobile phones, electronic keys, handbags, and bottles of water or milk for infants. Drinking water, restrooms, and medical assistance will be accessible at various points along the visitor route.

By train: The nearest stations are New Delhi Railway Station at 4.4 km, followed by Nizamuddin and Old Delhi stations at 9.4 km and 9.5 km, respectively.
