This National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) is a prepaid RuPay card specifically designed to simplify payments for metro and bus journeys across various cities in India. This one card will work in multiple cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru.

Announced by Blinkit’s CEO, Albinder Dhindsa, on X, this innovative card is available for doorstep delivery in just 10 minutes in major urban areas, including Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Ahmedabad.

The Bharat Yatra Card is versatile, allowing users to travel seamlessly across different metro and bus services in India. It supports metro rides in Delhi and NCR, BEST buses in Mumbai, Namma Metro in Bengaluru, and MTC buses in Chennai, as well as metro services in Ahmedabad, Kanpur, and beyond.

No KYC Needed For Bharat Yatra Card

One of its most convenient features is that there is no KYC requirement, enabling quick registration using just your mobile number. One can load a maximum of INR 2000 onto the card through a user-friendly in-app payment gateway, by scanning a QR code on the back of the card with any UPI app, or directly at metro stations.

In fact, traveling with the Bharat Yatra Card comes with numerous benefits. It is interoperable, meaning it can be used across various public transport systems that support NCMC, enhancing convenience for commuters. The card is reloadable, allowing you to top it up easily whenever needed without having to purchase a new one.

Additionally, it facilitates cashless travel, so you can ride public transport without the hassle of carrying cash. Enhanced with chip protection, the card also offers additional security against unauthorized use. With a tap-and-go functionality, you can skip long queues for faster boarding.

The Bharat Yatra Card has a validity of five years, making it a practical long-term option for commuters. This smart card, developed in partnership with Pine Labs, serves as a unified payment solution for all public transport systems that support NCMC.
